Shasta Industries Commercial & Olympic Division was recently awarded 1 million dollar contract t in Prosser, Washington.

This project consists of building a new lap pool inside an old lap pool which was built in 1955. The lap pool will have eight lanes, 25 yards in length, with a rimflow and a new dropslide. There will also be a new recreation pool, which will include a beach entry, a play structure, a rimflow, and a 100 foot long waterslide.

This venture will give the city of Prosser its first pool with amenities for children.

Shasta Industries is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, and known for their residential swimming pool construction.

Shasta is also currently building an aquatic and training center in Spokane, WA., at the Fairchild Air Force Base, valued at $900,000.

Shasta Pools was awarded the annual APSP International Awards of Excellence for 5 different pool designs. Each category was separated by overall theme of the design and Shasta Pools took 5 of the categories from Bronze to Gold. They really stole the competition. Shasta Pools is very pleased with their accomplishment and the pools are really unique from modern to nature looks. Steve Ast, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Shasta Pools said "We are very honored to receive so much recognition for our designs".

My favorite pools are the Negative Edged ones. It makes you feel like you're on a cliff with a water fall. Shasta Pools did a great job. I will have to see if a negative pool with work at my house. This is a very prestigious award, and I am anxious to see if Shasta Pools will pull away with the awards this year.
